DVD packaging for a collection of six short films.
Emily Richardson's films explore landscapes and environments to reveal the way that activity, movement and light are inscribed in place.
We mutually decided upon a purely typographic cover to contrast with the impact of her strong visual aethetic, and the reversed woodblock type gives a certain starkness and grittyness which marries with the feel of Emily's films.
The black packaging opens up to reveal a booklet with a critical essay on the work and images from each of the six films.
